Security officers who graduate from high school first enroll in a course
and receive basic training in the field. Graduates of the Private Security and
Protection Program, on the other hand, do not need to receive training in an
additional course since the training they receive during their school years is
sufficient. Individuals who graduate from the department can receive their
certificates upon graduation without being subjected to any exams. Individuals
who receive a security certificate can apply to the Private Security Branch
Directorate for ID with the necessary documents.
While security officers who are high school graduates can be shift managers
at most, security officers with an associate degree can become private security
chiefs. There are many companies throughout Turkey that are privately run and
provide training opportunities in a short period of time. However, private
security officers who have undergone a quality training process will be able to
become security chiefs and managers in the workplace in the future, as required
by law. It is clear that this quality training process can be carried out by
institutions that provide high-level education, such as universities.
Employment Opportunities
Graduates of the Private Security and Protection program have a wide range
of work areas. Graduates can establish and operate personal private security
companies, as well as work in various private security companies and become
trainers. They can take part in the infrastructure or management of security
services of institutions and organizations in the public and private sectors.
In addition, since an associate degree is required in the "security
officer cadre" preferences in civil servant recruitments made with KPSS-B,
